Nike Football: World Cup App

Football obsessed teenagers, sleep, eat and dream football. Nike wanted to launch a new mobile app to feature the best of Nike football all in one place to inspire and enable their passion ahead of the 2014 World Cup. The Nike Football App allows users to arrange matches via geo-tracking technology, banter with teammates, the ability to unlock exclusive experiences and have first-access to new Nike product. 
The first custom football emojis were created for the app to drive conversation and participation, later this suite of emoji’s extended to social media during the World Cup, where they are still being widely used today.

Role: I was the day to day account representative on the Nike Global Football account during the 2014 World Cup. Supporting the senior team with the strategic direction, user experience and became the product owner for the entire content feed that was released during the World Cup campaign.

Results: Fastest Nike App to gain 1M downloads, smashing all benchmarks and selling out all exclusive player products and club gear through the app.
